Job description

Sing! Utah voice teachers will have the option of teaching in-person lessons, virtual lessons, or both. In-person lessons will be held in two locations; our studio in Provo, or at a partnered studio in Midvale. Lessons will be offered to our students Monday through Friday, with varying times throughout the day. Lesson times are still unknown, and will be until we start scheduling students. We will do everything we can to accommodate lesson times for both teachers and students.

Teachers can decide how they teach, but we recommend ear training, music theory, sight reading, and song memorization be part of the curriculum. We will likely choose teachers that are willing to teach in those areas. We also may be implementing a collaborative part of the curriculum where students will practice and perform with other students. More details on this will be available later.

We will hold recitals at least every quarter, but we may have extra performing opportunities for our students throughout the year that we expect our teachers to attend.

What we're looking for

We are looking for fun, upbeat, and positive individuals who have a desire to change the lives of our students by giving them exceptional vocal training, coupled with remarkable performing opportunities that will ultimately prepare them for the professional music industry.

We are looking for teachers who are versatile in vocal styles - classical, musical theater, and contemporary, however the primary style we teach will be contemporary, commercial music.

We are looking for teachers who work well with groups, because we will likely implement group collaboration into our program.

We are still in the development stage of our program, so we are looking for people who are flexible, versatile, and patient. We are also looking for people who will bring fresh, new ideas to the table on how we can implement new, creative ways to make us the best voice studio in the state.
