Here is an overview of the dates and times of the rounds and rehearsals:
There are four competing divisions:
Junior (ages 4 - 10)
Youth (ages 11 - 14)
Adept (ages 15 & older)
Professional (ages 15 & older)
Round 1: Video Audition (Due Saturday, June 26th, 2021)
Contestants must fill out the form at the bottom of this page in it's entirety, and then pay a non-refundable $30 entry fee, which can be done after filling out the form below.
Contestants will submit a link to a 2-5 minute video of them singing one song of their choice that suits their vocal abilities well. Pop, soul, R&B, or rock genres are preferred, but other styles such as classical or jazz are allowed. You can send us videos directly to our email, or you can submit videos that are on YouTube or Vimeo. Please submit videos that feature you singing without pitch correction or auto-tuning.

Round 2: Semifinals Concert (Saturday, July 3rd)
Contestants that have advanced to the second round (Semifinals) will be notified by email. For this round, contestants will perform in a live concert setting, in front of judges.
This Semifinal Round Concert will take place at the Experience Event Center in Provo, and will be open to the public. General admission tickets will be available for purchase. Junior and Youth contestants may bring one adult to be admitted into the concert for free, as the contestant's guardian. Round 2.5 (ages 15+ ONLY): Live auditions (July 6th, 7th, & 8th)
Contestants 15 and older that have advanced to Round 2.5 will again be notified by email. This round will determine which contestants will be put into the Adept and Professional divisions. There will be multiple days and times to ensure everyone has an opportunity to find a day and time that works for them. The days, times, and locations are listed below:

Contestants will NOT need to have a song prepared to sing. They will only be tested on their aural skills, and their ability to harmonize.

Round 3: Final Round Concert (Saturday, August 21st or 28th 2021) - TBA!!
Contestants that have advanced to the final round will again be notified by email. The final contestants of all divisions will perform one song each in a live concert setting, again in front of judges. Professional division contestants will perform with a live band, and will also sing backup vocals on each other's songs (rehearsal required). The competition will either take place on Saturday, August 21st or 28th 2021, throughout the day. The exact date and location is yet to be determined.
The winning contestants of all divisions will all receive trophies and free time in our recording studio. In addition, the Junior division winner will receive $100, the Youth division winner will receive $200, the Adept division winner will receive $500, and the Professional division winner will receive $1,000.
Contestants in the Professional division must be available for a rehearsal and a dress rehearsal, in order to be ready for the Final Round Concert. They will be organized into groups of four, and all groups will have one rehearsal each. These rehearsal dates will take place on the following afternoons:
Group A rehearsal:
Saturday, July 31st, 12 PM - 2 PM
Group B rehearsal:
Saturday, August 7th, 12 PM - 2 PM
Group C rehearsal:
Saturday, August 14th, 12 PM - 2 PM
All Professional Division contestants must be available for the dress rehearsal, that will take place on:
Friday, August 20th, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

COVID-19 Notice: Due to the current coronavirus outbreak, Sing! Utah is taking a number of precautions to ensure our performers and audience members are safe, while still providing the best possible experience at our 2020 vocal competition. We will be abiding by Utah state's pandemic guidelines and procedures, which you can find here. Please keep in mind that by the time the competition day draws closer, these guidelines may have changed drastically. The venue of the competition may be either indoors, or outdoors depending on the color phase of the state guidelines.
We at Sing! Utah will try our absolute hardest to ensure everyone involved in our competition has a memorable, fulfilling experience they will never forget, despite the current pandemic situation.
